This program is suitable for individuals aspiring to engage in international Chinese language teaching and research. It aims to deepen students' understanding of the Chinese language and Chinese culture, comprehensively master professional knowledge in international Chinese language education, learn methodologies for teaching Chinese as a non-native language, strengthen theoretical and practical foundations in second language instruction, and cultivate professional teachers and leaders in this field. The program offers a one-year full-time option or a two-year part-time option (available only to local applicants in Hong Kong), catering to diverse learning needs. Instruction is primarily conducted on campus, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice, with regular lectures, exchange sessions, and teaching practicum activities to broaden international perspectives. The languages of instruction are Mandarin and Cantonese. Graduates may pursue careers in international Chinese language education or continue to doctoral studies to further their academic and professional development.
