English Language And English Literature BA (Hons)

On this BA (Hons) English Language and English Literature, you will have the opportunity to learn about the grammatical structure of English. Learn how words and sentences are formed, and how sounds are produced and understood.

At Bangor University, we take the belief that the more you read, the more you learn. You will study literary texts from countries around the world, spanning different periods and genres, analysing their stylistic, formal and rhetorical properties. You will look for the interconnections between texts and their cultural, historical and national contexts. This helps you to better understand how literary language, modes and genres change and develop over time and place.

A big advantage of this joint degree is the extent of personalisation allowed through a choice of optional modules. The final-year project offers an additional opportunity to tailor your studies.
