Providing a thorough grounding in theory and current practice, learn how financial markets, bonds, equities and financial derivatives operate and are regulated.

You will explore how banks and other financial organisations intermediate between savers or investors and individuals, firms and governments seeking funds. This covers the wide variety of financial instruments used to provide credit and liquidity to the economy, and the methods to mitigate and manage risks and returns between lenders and borrowers.

Banking and Finance combines insights from economics to explore what drives service, product and technological innovation on the one hand, or motivations, patterns of behaviour and attitudes to risk on the other.

Practical sessions in our trading room allow you to apply your new-found knowledge on investor simulations. You'll be able to practice modelling and better understand data analysis whilst improving your analytical, numerical and problem solving skills.
