The Accounting major strikes a balance between breadth and depth, aiming to cultivate accounting professionals equipped with comprehensive analytical capabilities and diverse skill sets. The programme is accredited by several leading international accounting professional bodies, including the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), CPA Australia, the Association of International Accountants (AIA), and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA Australia). To enhance practical experience, the programme offers a summer special course and arranges full-time spring internships at the Big Four accounting firms and other renowned accounting practices—or alternatively, international exchange opportunities—without delaying students’ normal graduation timeline. In addition, multiple scholarships are specifically designated for Accounting majors. Students may also flexibly opt for a dual major (e.g., Business and Management) or a minor in a non-business discipline, thereby broadening their interdisciplinary perspectives while solidifying expertise in both business and accounting.
