中医学学士及生物医学理学士(荣誉) BSc(Hons)/BMed

This is a six-year, full-time dual-degree programme, admitting only science stream students (for regions where the National College Entrance Examination does not distinguish between arts and science streams, candidates must have taken either Chemistry or Biology/Life Sciences). A total of 244 credit units must be completed. The curriculum comprises eight modules: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) fundamentals and clinical training; Biomedical sciences; Western medicine general practice clinical training; General education; Capstone research project; Elective courses; and integrated clinical clerkships and internships (totaling 15 months). The programme upholds equal emphasis on TCM and Western medicine: the credit ratio between TCM disciplines and Western medical disciplines (including Life Sciences) is approximately 7:3, covering foundational theories, clinical skills, and research training. Instructional languages include English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Teaching methodologies are diverse and innovative, including multimedia lectures, computer-assisted laboratory experiments (e.g., TCM diagnostics, anatomy, physiology), field trips for herbal medicine collection, and hospital visits. General education and complementary disciplines are also integrated to reflect a holistic education philosophy.
